I was born and raised just outside of Salt Lake City, Utah. I had a loving childhood with parents who made sure I always felt supported & I’ve remained close to my family even after moving to Arizona this past year. I did grow up as a member of the Mormon church but left during my 20s & I feel this gives me a deep understanding of what many ex-Mormons experience, especially when it comes to religious shame around sexuality & relationships.

I never planned on becoming a therapist. I earned my degree in Human Development and Family Studies with the intention of being a stay-at-home mom to my now two adult children. After my first divorce & a later tumultuous relationship I realized I needed to build a career that could support both myself & my children. The early years of being a therapist were challenging as I navigated my own mental health struggles & another divorce. After taking time to step back, reset & learning how to manage my own bipolar II disorder, I returned to this work with clarity & purpose.

Today my focus is on relationships, with others & with ourselves & our bodies—how we love, connect, heal & repeat patterns until they’re brought into awareness. I work with individuals & couples around intimacy, attachment, boundaries, trauma & self-trust, with a strong emphasis on how our histories shape our relational & sexual lives.

Movement has always been part of my story & how I experience & express my emotions. I began dancing at age three & taught in studios & schools throughout my 20s. When life shifted & I became a single mom I had to step away from dance & eventually found yoga. Becoming a certified yoga teacher & later trained in trauma-informed yoga allowed me to reconnect the body and mind in powerful ways. I now integrate body-based practices into my work—especially for healing sexual trauma & religious or church-based shame—helping people gently return to their bodies, reclaim choice & rebuild safety & pleasure in intimate relationships.
